Historically, Global South regions have faced significant challenges in amplifying their voices on the global stage. To address these, it is essential to establish institutions dedicated to discussing the unique issues, opportunities, and aspirations of developing countries. These forums must reflect the entire Global South, ensuring research and solutions are designed to meet the region’s specific needs and provide a united voice for collective progress.

The Global South, with its vast natural resources, strategic locations, dynamic populations, and diverse nations, plays a critical role in global development. However, the region faces numerous social, political, economic, health, and environmental challenges. This underlines the importance of institutions devoted to advancing development across the Global South, fostering cooperation, and strengthening the region’s contributions to the global community. 

Despite the tremendous potential and pressing need for institutions centered on the Global South, there is still a need for broader representation. The Global South Research Foundation (GSRF) seeks to expand this scope by engaging in a wide array of topics, spanning not only conventional areas like climate change, economic policy, and international relations but also essential themes such as feminism, intersectionality, cultural identity, foreign policy, and a just transition. 

With a unique foundation and a comprehensive approach, GSRF aims to uplift voices from local communities and grassroots organizations across the Global South. Through collaborative and innovative efforts, we strive to create solutions that benefit and empower all developing nations.
